OUR CHILDREN IN MASENO

Starting an orphanage was not a planned agenda for VFA…it just happened. Pastor Samson and his wife Beatrice, began taking care of orphaned children of church and family members and as the numbers grew we realized they needed help in feeding and caring for the children. We are in the process of helping the orphanage to become self-sufficient, by planting crops, raising chickens and supplying them with milk cows. There is much more that needs to be done for the orphanage compound. To insure their safety, a wall needs to be built around the entire compound. We need to build on to the parsonage and furnish it with beds. Also, we need to set up a learning center for those children that are not of school age. Unfortunately the more proficient the orphanage becomes the more likely robbers and bandits will come to steal their crops, cattle and even personal belongings.
